General description
Application
- in the purification of fractionate soluble polysaccharides from prune (Prunus domestica) extracted by molecular weight to isolate biologically active fractions that showed gastroprotective effects in rats.
- in size-based separation of polysaccharides from tamarillo (Solanum betaceum) fruit pulp to isolate galactoarabinoglucuronoxylan that showed antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory activity in mice.
- It may be used for concentration, diafiltration, and buffer exchange of biological macromolecules including proteins, enzymes, antibodies, and viruses.
Features and Benefits
- Ultracel® membranes ensure the highest recovery of dilute solutions
- The Regenerated Cellulose Membrane filter is a hydrophilic membrane designed to minimize protein binding and adsorption of DNA and other macromolecules.
- This membrane provides broad solvent compatibility, including with DMSO.
- Avoid exposure to amines, strong acids (phosphoric acid >10%), phenol (>0.5%), hydrochloric acid (>0.01 N), and solutions with pH <3 or >13.
- The maximum recommended operating pressure is 483 kPa (70 psi).
- It also supports multiple sterilization methods (formalin, glutaraldehyde, sterilizing gas) and can be restored using NaOH, NaOCl, or enzymatic cleaners (Micro or Tergazyme®).
