General description
Method: Colorimetric, with test strips, 0.1 - 0.3 - 0.6 - 1 - 2 - 3 g/L (NO2-), MQuant®
The test can be used for measuring the nitrit concentration of boiler water and cooling water. On the MQuant® Nitrite test strips, nitrite ions react with an aromatic amine to form an orange-red azo dye. The nitrite concentration is measured semi-quantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the nitrite concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Reflectoquant® or Spectroquant® Nitrite test.
Design for sustainability benefits:
We continue to demonstrate our commitment to our planet and a sustainable future by exploring ways to improve existing products in our portfolio. We have recently reviewed the current line of MQuant® test strips to identify key opportunities to minimize impact without compromising on the product performance. This product has benefited from:

Plasma activated water (PAW) has rapidly emerged as a promising alternative to traditional sanitizers applied in the fresh produce industry. In the present study, PAW chemistry and storage stability were assessed as a function of plasma operating conditions. Increasing plasma
