General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for catalysis. Click here for more information.
The product is a 30% solution of hydrogen peroxide in water. Hydrogen peroxide is more commonly being used as a green oxidizing agent. It is a better alternative to other oxidants because it has high active oxygen content and by-product is water. This product is a high quality pharmacopoeia product that meets the testing specifications of USP (United States Pharmacopoeia). It can be employed in research and pilot studies.

Application

Hydrogen peroxide solution has been used:
  • To prepare a sterilant solution along with peracetic acid that is employed in a novel wash process for bone allograft.
  • In combination with 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine dihydrochloride (TMB) to prepare horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated gold nanoparticles (GNPs).
  • For the immunostaining of NeuN (a soluble nuclear protein) expressing neurons.

Preparation Note

Stabilized

Fresh-frozen biological allograft remains the most effective substitute for the 'gold standard' autograft, sharing many of its osteogenic properties but, conversely, lacking viable osteogenic cells. Tissue engineering offers the opportunity to improve the osseointegration of this material through the addition
