The Blazar® tNGS Rodent Virus Panel: Ensure complete characterization of rodent cell lines.

Blazar® tNGS Rodent Virus Panel is the next generation assay for rodent master cell bank characterization. It delivers species-specific viral detection in just 13 days using targeted NGS, replacing legacy MAP, HAP, and RAP in vivo tests. The sequence readout pinpoints contaminants at the species level, accelerating follow-up investigations.

Built upon the award-winning Blazar® Rodent Panel, the tNGS upgrade keeps the fast turnaround, low sample volume, and broad viral coverage scientists trust, adds deeper genomic insight, and remains completely free of in vivo testing for full 3Rs compliance. With proven robustness across hundreds of cell banks, the Blazar® Rodent Panel has been used to support successful regulatory submissions in the US, Europe and Asia.

Our Unique Blazar® Platform: See What's New

Designed for developers and manufacturers of mAbs or recombinant proteins utilizing rodent cell lines for manufacturing process including CHO (Chinese Hamster Ovary) cells. The Blazar® tNGS Rodent Virus Panel can simultaneously detect and identify viral contaminants with high sensitivity while offering significantly faster turnaround times than traditional in vivo (MAP/HAP/RAP) testing, and alignment with new regulatory guidelines.

  • Facilitates identification of potential viral contaminants*
  • De-risk with faster results: 13 days vs. 35 days with equivalent or better sensitivity**
  • Helps detect low‑abundance and limited‑replicating viral genomes that in vivo assays and some non‑targeted NGS workflows may miss***
  • Established Blazar® Platform, with approved regulatory submissions in Europe, Asia, and US
  • GMP-compliant and offered at multiple locations in our state-of-the-art testing network
  • Fully end to end automated platform with optimized data analysis and reporting

*Select genomes as applicable **Compared to traditional methods ***based on NGS AAT assays-based transcriptome analysis
