General description

Purified mouse monoclonal antibody generated by immunizing mice with the specified immunogen and fusing splenocytes with NS-1 mouse myeloma cells (see application references). Recognizes the ~100 kDa large T antigen, the ~55 kDa middle T antigen, and the ~22 kDa small T antigen of polyoma virus.
Recognize polyoma virus large, middle, and small T antigens.
This Anti-Polyoma Virus T Antigen (Ab-4) Mouse mAb (F4) is validated for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Immunoblotting for the detection of Polyoma Virus T Antigen (Ab-4).

Immunogen

Polyoma virus T antigen

Application

Immunofluorescence (1-5 µg/ml)

Immunoprecipitation (1-2 µg/ml)

Immunoblotting (not recommended)

Physical form

Lyophilized from a volatile buffer, 100 µg BSA.

Preparation Note

Resuspend the lyophilized antibody with sterile PBS, pH 7.4, or sterile 20 mM Tris-saline, pH 7.4, to yield a final concentration of 100 µg/ml; product will be more stable if 0.1% sodium azide is included (do not add azide if antibody is to be used with viable cells). Lyophilized antibody should be resuspended at 4°C with occasional gentle mixing for at least 2 h. Following reconstitution, refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles of solutions.

Analysis Note

Positive Control
Polyoma infected 3T6 cells
