General description

Sodium channel subunit beta-4 (Scn4b) is highly expressed in dorsal root ganglia, as well as brain, spinal cord, skeletal muscle and heart. Scn4b modulates the kinetics of voltage-gated, sodium ion channels by negatively shifting activation (not inactivation) of some alpha sodium channels.

Recombinant protein corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of rat SCN4B.

Application

Anti-SCN4B Antibody, clone N168/6 is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody, that targets SCN4B & has been tested in western blotting & IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected SCN4B in human cerebellum and rat thalamus tissue.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot detected SCN4B in globus pallidus tissue (Prof. J. Trimmer, Univerity of California, Davis).
