      DescriptionImmunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~28 kDa FADD protein.
      BackgroundFADD is a cytosolic protein that serves as a signal transducer of Fas-induced apoptosis. FADD contains a death domain homologous to Fas and interacts with Fas to initiate apoptosis. Through its amino-terminal death effector domain, FADD binds cytosolic proteins such as TRADD or caspase 8 (FLICE) to transduce the death signal.
