MC-Media Pad® tests are designed for convenient and reliable testing of E.coli, Yeast and Mold, Coliform, Staphylococcus Aureus, or aerobic microbial contamination in food and beverage products. MC-Media Pad® for testing of coliform, aerobic microbial contamination and yeast & mold is now available in the US and Canada.
Description
The pads have a multilayer structure, which allows the sample to diffuse into the pad evenly without intervention.
The use of specific indicators and chromogenic media means that the read-out is clear and rapid.
Storage
These pads have a long shelf life, are stackable and are much smaller than standard agar plates:
- Shelf life of up to 3 years 
- Reduced storage space required 
- Storage between 2 – 15°C 
- Opened packages can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 weeks 
- Use straight out of the fridge – no need to wait for equilibration 
- Use less space in the incubator
