General description
3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) is an electrochemical substrate for low level detection of horse radish peroxidase (HRP). It is a highly sensitive and dual function substrate, since it produces both soluble and insoluble reaction products. It has rapid reaction rate and it is suitable for on-line kinetic analysis. It does not possess carcinogenic properties.
Application
3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine Liquid Substrate, Super Slow, for ELISA has been used as a substrate for enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
Contains TMB in a mildly acidic buffer. The substrate is supplied as a one component ready to use solution. Rate kinetics are approx. 60% slower than traditional TMB formulations. Not recommended for membrane or immunohistochemical applications that require a precipitating reaction product.

The mechanics of fibronectin-rich extracellular matrix regulate cell physiology in a number of diseases, prompting efforts to elucidate cell mechanosensing mechanisms at the molecular and cellular scale. Here, the use of fibronectin-functionalized silicone elastomers that exhibit considerable frequency dependence in
