Anti-Proteinase-Activated Receptor 2 Antibody, NT, extracellular

The Proteinase-activated receptor 2 (PAR2) is a member of the proteinase-activated receptor subfamily. It is activated through proteolytic exposure of an occult tethered ligand by trypsin and trypsin-like proteases. This is in contrast to other members of the subfamily which are activated by the protease thrombin. PAR2 has been implicated in acute inflammatory response, asthma, and pain transmission. PAR2 expression has been documented in the periphery. ESTs have been isolated from adrenal, brain, breast, heart/melanocyte/uterus, kidney, lung, and vessel libraries.

Epitope: N-terminal, extracellular

Synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within the N-terminal extracellular domain of human PAR2. The immunogen has 70% homology with mouse and 60% homology with rat.

Immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues)

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

This Anti-Proteinase-Activated Receptor 2 Antibody, N-terminal, extracellular is validated for use in IH(P) for the detection of Proteinase-Activated Receptor 2.

Recognizes human PAR2. The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by IHC staining of human pancreas.

Peptide-affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.7, containing 0.01% sodium azide

Maintain at -70°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months from date of receipt. May be stored at 2-8°C for short term use. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
