PluriStem C3H/HeN Murine ES Cells

Embryonic Stem Cell line derived from C3H/HeN blastocysts. C3H/HeN is a widely used inbred strain, commonly used for pharmacological testing. F1 mice produced from C57BL/6 and C3H parental strains are commonly used in toxicological testing. C3H mice show a high frequency of mammary tumors when reared in non-SPF conditions due to viral transmission from mother to offspring during rearing. The C3H/HeN strain carries the rd1 (retinal degeneration) mutation. They carry the H2k haplotype. The C3H ES line was genome verified by determining the alleles at 29 SNPs that are informative across a large number of inbred mouse strains.

Cells are supplied frozen in basal medium supplemented with 50% FCS and 10% DMSO

Place vials in liquid nitrogen immediately upon receipt until it is convenient to proceed to subculture.
