General description
液状チオグリコール酸培地（FTM）は、メルクのSTERITEST®ソリューションの重要な要素です。この培地の組成と成長能力は、欧州薬局方（EP）2.6.1、米国薬局方（USP）71および日本薬局方（JP）4.06に準拠しています。メルクの製造手法が、最高レベルの品質を培地にもたらし、精度を改善し、不正な解釈や誤った結果のリスクを大幅に削減します。液体は淡黄色で若干乳白色を帯び、粘性があり、ピンク色のリングが≤1 cmで浮遊しています。製品のpHは7.1 ± 0.2であり、2～25°Cで保存できます。インキュベーション温度は30～35℃、インキュベーション時間は7～14日です。本製品は培地100 mL入りボトル12本として供給されます。クロスコンタミネーションのリスクを最低限に抑え、汚染除去手順を最適化するセプタム付きスクリューキャップが付いています。
Application
液状チオグリコール酸培地（FTM）は、主に嫌気性菌の検出に用いられます。ただし、好気性菌の検出も可能です。QC生物には、クロストリジウム・スポロゲネス（ATCC 19404、ATCC 11437）、黄色ブドウ球菌（ATCC 6538）および緑膿菌（ATCC 9027）が含まれます。この培地は、メンブレンろ過または直接接種による無菌試験に使用されます。
