General description
プラスチック製組織培養プレートでは、細胞は頂端側からのみ培地にアクセスできますが、Millicell®組織培養インサートでは、細胞は頂端側と側底膜側の両方から培地にアクセスできます。その結果、細胞の増殖、構造、機能は、in vivoで起こることをより厳密に模倣します。
インサートのフランジデザインによって培養プレートウェル内でインサートが浮遊するため、細胞単層の両側へのアクセスが可能になっています。3つの突出アームの間にスペースがあることで、インサートの外側と培養プレートウェルとの間で容易にピペッティングできます。
