COP9 signalosome complex subunit 8 (CSN8, COPS8), also known as Signalosome subunit 8 (SGN8), is a nuclear-enriched protein complex belonging to the CSN8 family. It is comprised of eight subunits that interact with deubiquitinating enzymes and protein kinases. The CSN complex is involved in the regulation of various signaling and developmental processes, including DNA repair, cell cycle regulation, embryogenesis, axonal guidance, MAPK cascade, immune response, and hormonal signaling.
