Neuronal growth regulator 1 (NEGR1) is also called IgLON family member 4. NEGR1 belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is thought to be involved in cell-adhesion. NEGR1 possibly functions as a trans-neural growth-promoting factor in regenerative axon sprouting in the mammalian brain.
