- An oxidizing agent to introduce carbonyl functional groups at activated carbon.
- A catalyst in the allylic hydroxylation reactions.
- An oxidant in the synthesis of amides by oxidative amidation of aldehydes with amines.
- A catalyst to synthesize di and trioxidized bicyclic cyclopentenones by reacting with Pauson-Khand reaction (PKR) products.
- A catalyst along with iodine (I2) to prepare mono and bis-sulfenylindoles by treating indoles with diaryl disulfides via C-H sulfenylation.
- A catalyst to synthesize alkyl and aryl nitriles from the corresponding aldehydes via the formation of aldoxime.
- A selenium precursor to synthesize FeSe nanostructures via electrochemical deposition method.
