General description

Magnesium nitrate hexahydrate is an inorganic salt hydrate phase change material(PCM) widely used in thermal energy storage devices. It is the most preferred inorganic PCM because of its applicable phase change temperature of about 89 °C, incombustibility, ultra-high phase change enthalpy 162.8 Jg−1, and low cost. It can also be used as a precursor to synthesize MgO-based catalysts for various applications.
