La L-glutamina es un aminoácido esencial que es un componente crucial de los medios de cultivo donde actúa como una fuente importante de energía para las células en cultivo. La L-glutamina es muy estable en forma de polvo seco y de disolución congelada. En los medios líquidos o las disoluciones de reserva, sin embargo, la L-glutamina se degrada con relativa rapidez. General description

L-glutamine is found to be one of the most abundant amino acid in blood stream. It is useful in a number of biochemical processes like production of other amino acids, glucose, nucleotides, protein, and glutathione. It may also be used as a supplement to increase the intestinal villous height, maintain mucosal integrity and stimulate gut mucosal cellular proliferation. It may also find applications in the treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, since it has the tendency to suppress gut and oral-toxic side effects.
This certified reference material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. This CRM is traceable to primary material from an NMI, e.g. NIST or NMIJ.
