La IgG del suero humano se utilizó como patrón a una concentración de 1274 mg/ml en ELISA para determinar las respuestas de anticuerpos a Porphyromonas gingivalis y a Prevotella intermedia. Se utilizó para el inmunomarcaje de las células Vero, BHK y PtK2 a una concentración de 0,2 mg/ml. La IgG del suero humano se utilizó como patrón en la SDS-PAGE de anticuerpos contra el LPS de Shigella.

Biochem/physiol Actions

El subtipo de anticuerpo IgG es el más abundante de las inmunoglobulinas séricas del sistema inmunitario. Las IgG son secretadas por las células B y se encuentran en la sangre y los líquidos extracelulares; proporcionan protección frente a infecciones causadas por bacterias, hongos y virus. Las IgG maternas son transferidas al feto a través de la placenta, que es vital para la defensa inmunitaria del neonato frente a las infecciones.
