General description

Cobaltpowder is a metallic powder of the element cobalt (Co), typically produced through reduction or electrolysis. Our high-purity cobalt powder is characterized by its particle size of less than 150 μm and a purity of ≥99.9% on a trace metals basis. It is used in lithium-ion batteries for enhancing their stability and energy density for portable electronics, electric vehicles, and renewable energy storage systems. Additionally, it is also used as a binder in hard alloys, it tightly binding the hard phase of the material, such as tungstencarbide, through powder metallurgy sintering.

Application

Cobaltpowder plays a critical role in manufacturing, serving as a key component insuperalloys, wear-resistant hard-facing alloys, tool and die steels, and actingas a binder in cemented carbides. Moreover, there′s a significant demand forpowders with a dendritic morphology-featuring elongated central cores and smallbranches-specifically for the production of high-quality permanent magnets. Additionally, it is employed in the synthesis of a metal-rich layered telluride, TaCo2Te2, which possesses ideal characteristics for photovoltaic applications, for surface scanning studies, and which may give clean and atomically flat surfaces.
