During brain hypoxia glycine can stabilize the energetics disturbances in brain mitochondria. It also increases the in vitro development of porcine blastocysts when used along with glucose.

Application

Glycine was used for preparing platelets from whole-blood samples and study the stimulation of cytokine expression in leukocytes. It was used for biochemical and tolerance tests.
