Application
Interferon-γ from mouse has been used:
- for in vitro stimulation of the BMDC (bone marrow derived dendritic cell), BMM (bone marrow-derived macrophages) and CD11c+ (CD11 antigen-like family member C) lung macrophages
- for stimulation of murine macrophages to induce the production of nitrite and nitrate
- to check CCAAT/enhancer binding protein β (C/EBPβ)-mediated changes in the expression of prostaglandin synthesis enzymes in neuroinflammation
Biochem/physiol Actions
Ifng (interferon-γ) plays an important role in innate and adaptive immune responses, and helps in defense against bacterial infections, dimorphic yeast and some viral infections.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered buffered solution. Package size based on protein content.
Analysis Note
The biological activity of recombinant mouse IFN-γ is measured by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of murine WEHI-279 cells.

Preparation of a nitrate reductase lysate of Escherichia coli MC1061 to measure nitrate and nitrite in biologic fluids is described. To obtain the crude bacterial lysate containing nitrate reductase activity, E. coli MC1061 was subjected to 16-20 freeze-thawing cycles, from

Silica has been used for many years as an agent which selectively alters macrophage functions and, as such, has been used to assess the role of macrophages in the immune response to a variety of microbial and chemically defined agents.

Inflammation causes tissue damage and promotes ventricular remodeling after myocardial infarction (MI), and the infiltration and polarization of macrophages play an important role in regulating inflammation post-MI. Here, we investigated the anti-inflammatory function of curcumin after MI and studied its
