L′oxaliplatine a été utilisé :

  • pour déterminer les effets d′inhibition de la croissance dans les cellules d′adénocarcinome du sein MDA-MB-231

Biochem/physiol Actions

L′oxaliplatine, analogue du platine, provoque des lésions de l′ADN et la mort cellulaire en se liant à l′ADN et en formant des ponts interbrins et intrabrins, empêchant la réplication et la transcription. L′oxaliplatine est un agent antitumoral actif contre le cancer colorectal ; la formation d′adduits dans l′ADN est suivie par une cytotoxicité. C′est un médicament homologué dans le traitement du cancer colorectal. C′est l′un des ingrédients actifs dans FOLFOX (acide folinique:5-FU-oxaliplatine selon un rapport 1:10:1 en concentrations micromolaires) L′oxaliplatine provoque une neurotoxicité aiguë et chronique chez les patients d′une manière proportionnelle à la dose, et ses effets sont réversibles en réduisant ou en arrêtant le traitement.
