General description
18:1 NBD PS is a fluorescent analog of phosphotidylserine (PS). Phosphotidylserine is considered as a vital lipid and is found in the inner mitochondrial region.
Application
NBD PS might be suitable as a component in premixed lipid solution for V-SNARE (N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) proteo-liposomes preparation. It is also suitable for the preparation of control PS/PC (1-palmitoyl-2-oleoylsn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine/1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-phosphocholine) liposomes.
Biochem/physiol Actions
18:1 NBD PS is useful in labelling mitochondria. Phosphotidylserine is associated with blood clotting mechanism.

Doxorubicin (DXR) is a drug widely used in chemotherapy. Its mode of action is based on its intercalation properties, involving the inhibition of topoisomerase II. However, few studies have reported the mitochondrial effects of DXR while investigating cardiac toxicity induced
