General description
Recombinant, mouse BMP-4 consisting of amino acids 293-408 and expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cells. BMP-4 plays a key role in epidermal determination, the development of multiple organs, suppression of neural induction, tissue repair, and mesenchyme formation.
Biochem/physiol Actions
ED₅₀ = 10-40 ng/ml as measured by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cells.

Lyophilized from 0.2 µm sterile-filtered Acetonitrile, TFA, BSA.
Preparation Note
Following reconstitution refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage or aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 4°C or for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Reconstitute to 100 µg/ml in sterile 4 mM HCl containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
