General description
Effective biological range: 5-50 ng/ml.
Native epidermal growth factor from mouse submaxillary glands. Mitogenic for a wide range of ectoderm- and endoderm-derived cells from tissue such as breast, cornea, epidermis, dermis, liver, pancreas, nerve, amnion, and adrenal medulla. Purified by size-exclusion chromatography followed by DEAE ion-exchange chromatography.
Native epidermal growth factor from mouse submaxillary glands. Purified by size-exclusion chromatography. Exhibits mitogenic activity in a wide range of tissues of ectodermal and endodermal origin. Effective at concentrations ranging from 5-50 ng/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
determined by mitogenic assay with human foreskin fibroblasts
