Native serum amyloid P component from human serum. Serum Amyloid P component (SAP) is an acute-phase serum protein shown to increase in concentration following infection or inflammatory disease.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 140 mM NaCl, 10 mM EDTA, 10 mM Tris-HCl, 0.1% NaN₃, pH 8.0.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-70°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -70°C.
Prepared from serum that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
