General description

Purified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the Sialyl Lewis a epitope on glycoproteins ≥1000 kDa.
Recognizes the SLea carbohydrate epitope on glycoproteins and glycolipids on cell membranes and in the cytoplasm of breast, colon, ovarian and stomach cancers, and in lung adenocarcinoma.
Sialyl Lewis a [SLea; NeuAcα2,3Galβ1,3(Fucα1,4)GlcNAc] is a non-myeloid-specific tetrasaccharide that acts as a minimal ligand for E-selectin (ELAM; endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule), an endothelial cell-surface glycoprotein that mediates recruitment of neutrophils and monocytes to sites of endothelial inflammation. This monoclonal antibody is specific for the SLea epitope found on various cell-surface glycoproteins and glycolipids.
This Anti-Sialyl Lewis a Mouse mAb (KM231) is validated for use in Adhesion Blockade, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunoblotting, Paraffin Sections Radioimmunoassay for the detection of Sialyl Lewis a.
