Recognizes the ~58 kDa Smad2 protein phosphorylated at Ser465/467.

Rabbit polyclonal antibody purified by protein A followed by immunoaffinity chromatography. Recognizes the ~58 kDa Smad2 protein phosphorylated at Ser465/467.

Immunogen

a synthetic phosphopeptide surrounding the Ser⁴⁶⁵ and Ser⁴⁶⁷ phosphorylation sites of human Smad2

Application

Immunoblotting (1:1000, see comments)

Physical form

In 150 mM NaCl, 10 mM HEPES sodium, 100 µg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol, pH 7.5.

Preparation Note

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).

The immunogen seqeunce is conserved in chicken, human, mouse, rat, Xenopus, Zebrafish, and Drosophila. Does not cross-react with other Smad related proteins. For immunoblotting, incubate with antibody diluted in 1x TBS, 0.1% Tween®-20 detergent, and 5% dry milk overnight at 4°C with gentle shaking. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.
