General description
This product has been discontinued.
Recognizes the ~17 kDa stathmin protein.
Rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied as undiluted serum. Recognizes the ~17 kDa stathmin protein.
Immunogen
a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids near the C-terminus of mammalian stathmin
Application
Immunoblotting (1:20,000)
Immunohistochemistry (1:1000)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Immunohistochemistry (1:1000)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Physical form
Undiluted serum.
Preparation Note
Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).
Other Notes
Does not cross-react with other cellular proteins as determined by immunoblotting. For immunoprecipitation, 1 µl of undiluted serum will immunoprecipitate approximately 20 ng of stathmin. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilutions.

Our previous studies demonstrated that high expression of oncoprotein 18 (Op18)/stathmin promotes malignant transformation of non‑small cell lung cancer NCI‑H1299 cells. Investigation of the cellular settings determined that NCI‑H1299 cells were genetically p53 deficient. In order to determine whether p53

More than 380,000 new cases of bladder cancer are diagnosed worldwide, accounting for ∼150,200 deaths each year. To discover potential biomarkers of bladder cancer, we employed a strategy combining laser microdissection, isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation labeling, and

Our previous studies have identified that silencing oncoprotein 18 (Op18)/stathmin via RNA interference (RNAi) inhibited autocrine interleukin‑10 (IL‑10) and enhanced the sensitivity to Taxol in NCI‑H1299 non‑small cell lung cancer cells. In this study, whether autocrine IL‑10 regulates Op18/stathmin signaling in

The regulation of microtubule dynamics is important for the appropriate arborization of neuronal dendrites during development, which in turn is critical for the formation of functional neural networks. Here we show that stathmin, a microtubule destabilizing factor, is downregulated at

Stathmin (STMN1), a recognized oncoprotein upregulated in various solid tumors, promotes microtubule disassembly and modulates tumor growth and migration activity. However, the mechanisms underlying the genetic regulation of STMN1 have yet to be elucidated. In the current study, we report
