General description
コクサッキーウイルス・アデノウイルス受容体（CAR）は、コックサッキーBウイルスと多数のアデノウイルスによる細胞付着と感染を媒介します。また、CARは、同型細胞間相互作用も媒介します。極性上皮細胞では、CARは、タイトジャンクションと密接に結合しており、そこで溶質や巨大分子の傍細胞流動に対するバリアに寄与します。CARの生物学的役割はまだ明らかになっていませんが、新たな証拠により、胚発生の間や細胞増殖の制御において機能する可能性があることが示唆されています。′

Application
免疫細胞染色：
1-2 μg/mLで使用、HeLa細胞およびhCARトランスフェクトしたCHO細胞においてCARに対する陽性染色が確認されますが、4% paraformaldehydeで固定し、0.2% Triton-Xで透過処理したトランスフェクトしていないCHO細胞では見られません。
