General description
Molecular sieve 0.4 nm is a porous solid that can be used in desiccators and drying tubes to dry gases and absolute solvents.
Application
Molecular sieve 0.4 nm can be used as a catalyst:
- For the conversion of epoxides to thiiranes by treating with thiourea.
- In the solvent-free acetylation of eugenol with acetic anhydride to synthesize eugenyl acetate.
