General description

Xanthine oxidase substrate. A product of nucleic acid breakdown. Acts to salvage free purines for nucleic acid and nucleotide recycling. Used in conjunction with thymidine and aminopterin for cloning and selection of hybridoma cell lines.
Xanthine oxidase substrate. Formed in the animal body during nucleic acid breakdown. Acts to salvage free purines for nucleic acid and nucleotide recycling. Used in conjunction with thymidine and aminopterin for cloning and selection of hybridoma cell lines.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, sterilize by filtration through a 0.22 µm filter, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 year at -20°C.
