Kallikrein, Human Plasma

Native Kallikrein from human plasma. A serine protease that releases bradykinin from kininogen. Present in the plasma as an inactive precursor, prokallikrein.

In NaCl and Tris-HCl buffer.

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1.0 µmol D-Pro-Phe-Arg-pNA per min at 25°C, pH 8.0.
