Anti-LFG Antibody

Protein lifeguard 2 (LFG) is an antiapoptotic protein belonging to the BI1 family. LFG inhibits the apoptotic signal transduced by the Fas receptor but not from the related tumor necrosis factor-death signal. LFG is expressed at high levels in the brain especially in the hippocampus. It is also highly expressed in breast cancer tissues and correlates with the grade of tumor (grade II/grade III) in primary breast tumors.
