General description
ミトコンドリア輸入受容体サブユニットTOM20ホモログ（TOM20またはTOMM20）は、ミトコンドリア20 kDa外膜タンパク質またはミトコンドリア外膜受容体Tom20としても知られる、ミトコンドリア外膜のプレタンパク質トランスロカーゼ複合体（TOM複合体）の中心的な構成要素であり、細胞質合成ミトコンドリアプレタンパク質の認識と転座に関与します。TOM複合体は、少なくとも7種類のタンパク質（TOMM5、TOMM6、TOMM7、TOMM20、TOMM22、TOMM40およびTOMM70）で構成されています。TOM20はTOM22と相互作用して、プレタンパク質のTOM40転座孔への移動を促進します。また、APEX1とも相互作用します。
