General description

Integrin beta-2, also known as CD18, is an adhesion receptor in neutrophils that interacts with cytohesin-1 intracellularly. Integrin beta is instrumental in activation-dependent adhesion and adhesion-dependent signaling. Expression of integrin beta-2 has a positive correlation with patient survival from malignant B cell lymphoma.

Immunogen

Whole B10 mouse spleen cells enriched with T-cells.

Application

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A previous lot was used by an independent laboratory in IP (Sanchez-Madrid, F., et al. (1983). J. ExP. MED. 158:586-602).

Inhibition Analysis: A previous lot of this antibody was shown to inhibit lymphoma metastasis (Zahalka, M. A. et al. (1993) J. Immunol. 150, 4466).

This Anti-Integrin beta-2 (CD18) Antibody, clone M18/2 is validated for use in FC, IP for the detection of Integrin beta-2 (CD18).
