General description
インスリンは、膵島のβ細胞によって産生される、2本のポリペプチド鎖からなるホルモンです。分子量は、約5800 Daです。αおよびβ鎖が、2鎖間のジスルフィド結合によって結合しています。α鎖は、鎖内のジスルフィド結合を持っています。
Application
ヒトインスリン溶液は、上皮細胞株およびヒト子宮内膜細胞株を培養するためのダルベッコ改変イーグル培地（DMEM）、ヒト乳腺がん細胞株を培養するためのイーグル最小必須培地、および正常卵巣細胞株を培養するための培地199の栄養補助剤として使用されています。
ヒトインスリン溶液は、培地1 Lあたり0.5～1 mLの濃度で、細胞培養アプリケーションに使用することをお勧めします。
ヒトインスリン溶液は、マウスやラットにおけるインスリン負荷試験に使用されています。また、ヒト胚性幹細胞（hESCs）由来突起培養物およびhMSCs（ヒト間葉系間質細胞）の脂肪生成的分化にも使用されています。

Biochem/physiol Actions
インスリンは、細胞増殖の促進、細胞周期の調節およびグルコース摂取の促進などのさまざまな細胞プロセスに関与します。無血清哺乳類細胞培養培地のタンパク質栄養補助剤として一般的に使用され、哺乳類細胞の最適な増殖と維持の促進に役立ちます。
