General description
弱い一塩基酸であるホウ酸はOH-イオンを受け取る性質があり、したがってルイス酸として機能します。ホウ酸では、Bがsp2混成軌道をとり、平面状の三角形構造を形成します。ホウ素の最も重要な酸化物である B2O3 は、ホウ酸を赤熱状態まで加熱して脱水させることによりガラス質固体として得られます。
