General description

IgGは、ヒト血清に最も豊富に含まれるタンパク質です。IgGは微生物に対する生体防御に重要であり、適応免疫応答の一環としてBリンパ球によって産生されます。IgG分子には2つの別々の機能があります。すなわち、応答を誘導した病原体に結合する機能と、抗原を破壊するために他の細胞や分子を動員する機能です。IgGプールのばらつきは体細胞組み換えによって生じています。
