General description

Adiponectin, leptin, and PAI-1 are key regulators of metabolism and insulin sensitivity, while IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα, and MCP-1/CCL2 are central to adipose tissue inflammation. Together, these biomarkers provide insight into metabolic dysfunction and immune-adipocyte interactions in rat models of obesity and related disorders.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 7 analytes in rat cell culture supernatants.

Analytes Included: Adiponectin, IL-1β, IL-6, Leptin, MCP-1/CCL2, PAI-1 (total), TNFα

Assay Characteristics: Refer to the assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.

Features and Benefits

Features:

  • Multiplex detection of 7 adipokines and cytokines in a single assay
  • Magnetic bead-based format for efficient and reproducible processing
  • Compatible with rat serum, plasma, and tissue lysates
  • High sensitivity for low-abundance biomarkers
  • Utilizes Luminex® xMAP technology for high-throughput analysis
  • Short assay time (~4.5 hours) with minimal hands-on steps
Benefits:

  • Saves time and sample volume through multiplexing
  • Reduces assay variability and improves data quality
  • Enables comprehensive profiling of adipocyte-related biomarkers
  • Supports research in obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome
  • Facilitates translational studies in rat models of metabolic disease
