OverviewThe MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Pituitary Magnetic Bead Panel 1 is a 7-plex kit that can be used for the simultaneous measurement of any or all of the following analytes in human serum, plasma or cell/tissue culture samples: ACTH, AGRP, CNTF, FSH, GH, LH, and TSH.
Background InformationPituitary hormones and other brain-derived proteins, such as hypothalamus neuropeptides, play very important roles in the regulation of various functions including metabolism, growth, and reproduction. Accurate measurement of these proteins to understand their new biological functions and molecular mechanisms of the functions are crucial. Traditional laboratory methods, such as RIA and ELISA are not able to measure multiple proteins with a small sample volume.

ApplicationThe Human Pituitary Panel 1, using the Luminex xMAP technology, enables the simultaneous analysis of 7 protein biomarkers in human serum, plasma and cell culture samples.

Application NotesFor optimal sensitivity, use an overnight (16-18 hour) incubation. Serum or plasma samples may be run neat or diluted with Assay Buffer. Tissue/cell culture supernatants may be run neat or appropriately diluted in control medium. Each well requires 25 μL of sample, standard or control.
