General description

["TWEEN"] 80 is a polyethylene sorbitol ester, broadly used in biochemical applications like solubilizing proteins, isolating nuclei from cells in culture, and growing tubercle bacilli. It is also useful in emulsifying and dispersing substances in medicinal and food products. TWEEN 80 acts as an active drying agent in ice cream.
