Biochem/physiol Actions

PDSS1 gene encodes an enzyme prenyl (decaprenyl) diphosphate synthase, subunit 1 that catalyzes the first step in coenzyme Q biosynthesis through formation of all trans-polyprenyl pyrophosphates from isopentyl diphosphate in the assembly of polyisoprenoid side chains.
