      OverviewThe CpGenome™ Rat Methylated Genomic DNA Control is an ideal control or standard in DNA methylation studies. This methylated standard is generated using multiple strand displacement amplification of rat genomic DNA using Phi29 DNA polymerase followed by a treatment with a CpG Methylase. This process results in a DNA standard which contains ≥ 95% methylated cytosines across the genome in both heterochromatic and euchromatic regions.

      Storage ConditionsUpon receipt aliqout and store at -20°C to avoid multiple freeze thaws which can fragment DNA. For best quality, limit freeze and thaw of the same –20°C DNA aliquot to no more than 3 times. For longer term storage, the DNA can be stored at -80°C. With proper storage and protection from excess freeze-thaw cycles, this product is stable for up to two years from the date of receipt.
