Kinetics of the reaction of 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol with OH radicals using a relative rate method has been reported. It has been identified as oxidation products of dyes such as methyl yellow, methyl red and methyl orange.

Application

3-Methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol may be employed as raw material for the production of industrial detergents.
