General description

16:0-18:2 PC or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is a glycerophospholipid, with substitution of palmitic acid and linolenic acid at sn-1 and sn-2 positions of the glycerol backbone, respectively.

Application

16:0-18:2 PC or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine:
  • has been used in liposomes for standard cell-free translation
  • has been used in the extraction of serum lipids and in peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-δ (PPAR-δ) assay
  • might be used to study the effects of phosphatidylcholines (PCs) on lubrication of damaged mesothelium
