General description

Adenosine aminohydrolase.
Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is a zinc metalloenzyme.

Application

Deamination of adenosine analogs to the corresponding inosine analogs
Adenosine deaminase (ADA) has been used in lipolysis assay along with other reagents.
Chemiluminescent adenosine assay.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is involved in the deamination of adenosine to inosine and 2′ deoxyadenosine to 2′-deoxyinosine.

Physical form

Suspension in 3.2 M ammonium sulfate solution, pH approximately 6. Small particles are normal. Before using stir up the precipitate and proceed.

Analysis Note

Contaminants: <0.01% alkaline phosphatase, AMP-deaminase, guanase, and nucleoside phosphorylase each

Obesity is reaching epidemic proportions so there is growing interest in the mechanisms that regulates adipose tissue development and function. Although murine adipose cell lines are useful for many mechanistic studies, primary human adipose stromal cells (ASCs), which can be
