General description

Anhydrotetracycline (ATC) is a degradation product of tetracycline hydrochloride, a widely used antibiotic in animal breeding.

Application

The analytical standard can be used as follows:
  • Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy-based temperature-dependent quantitative and qualitative analysis of the antibiotic, tetracycline hydrochloride, and its three major metabolites
  • Simultaneous analysis of tetracycline hydrochloride and its degradation products in a pharmaceutical formulation by Resonance Raman Spectroscopy to study stress-induced stability of the drug
  • Development and validation of a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS) method to determine 21 antibiotic residues used as veterinary medicinal products in honey samples
  • Estimation of eight tetracycline antibiotics in various environmental water samples by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) followed by an ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC)-tunable ultraviolet detection (TUV)
