Application

L′IgG de sérum humain a été utilisée comme étalon à une concentration de 1,274 mg/ml dans une analyse par ELISA pour déterminer les réponses d′anticorps à Porphyromonas gingivalis et Prevotella intermedia. Elle a été utilisée pour l′immunomarquage de cellules Vero, BHK et PtK2 à une concentration de 0,2 mg/ml. L′IgG de sérum humain a été utilisée comme étalon dans une analyse par SDS-PAGE d′anticorps anti-LPS de Shigella.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Le sous-type d′anticorps IgG constitue la plus abondante des immunoglobulines du système immunitaire. Les IgG sont sécrétées par les lymphocytes B et sont présentes dans le sang et les liquides extracellulaires ; elles protègent contre les infections provoquées par les bactéries, champignons et virus. Les IgG maternelles sont transmises au fœtus à travers le placenta, ce qui est essentiel à la défense immunitaire des nouveau-nés contre les infections.

Les IgG humaines purifiées sont isolées à partir d'un pool de sérums humains normaux par fractionnement et chromatographie d'échange d'ions. Ce produit est fourni sous la forme d'une poudre lyophilisée quasiment exempte de sels (moins de 1 % de sodium).
